Rep. Billy Long talks D.C. issues during 'Newsmakers'

The “Newsmakers” program airing the week of June 7 will feature an update on news from Washington, D.C., by U.S. Rep. Billy Long (R-MO, 7th District).

During the interview, Long discusses a number of topics, including bills moving through Congress, trade, the economy and national security, and his role on the Energy and Commerce Committee.

The program will air at 5:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, June 7–11, and at 9;30 p.m. Thursday, June 11, on KGCS-TV. It can also be viewed at 5 a.m. Saturday, June 13, on KOAM-TV or on YouTube at

“Newsmakers” is produced by KGCS-TV, a service of the Department of Communication at Missouri Southern State University. Programming may be seen over the air on digital channel 22 and on regional cable television systems.
