The U.S. House of Representatives passed the Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act conference Report on Friday.  The new legislation modernizes Custom and Border Protection's automated systems.  The bill also includes language from Congressman Billy Long's "ENFORCE" Act, which protects U.S. manufacturers from tariff evasion.  In a recent statement from congressman Long, he said, "This bill is critical to making sure products coming into our boarders abide by our tariff laws. Duty evasion has a very real impact that harms American workers, including hundreds right here in Missouri's 7th congressional district."
